  • The visit coincides with the 15th anniversary of the opening of SATEC’s office in Valladolid, inaugurated in May 2009, which currently employs nearly 150 people.
  • SATEC’s Network and Services Operations Center (CORS) serves the JCYL, ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the telecommunications used by the Regional Government in more than 2,600 locations across the territory.
  • Recognized with the Aslan Award 2022 in the category of Regional Government, CORS is a national reference for a successful model in the efficient, scalable, and high-quality management of telecommunications networks and services for a large organization.

Valladolid, May 24, 2024 – The Minister of Mobility and Digital Transformation of the Junta de Castilla y León, María González Corral, visited this morning the Network and Services Operations Center (CORS) of SATEC, located in Valladolid. CORS is dedicated to improving the quality, reliability, and security of telecommunications used by the Regional Government in more than 2,600 locations across the territory. This service strengthens the operational and management capacity of the Regional Government’s telecommunications services and infrastructures by monitoring, managing, and diagnosing applications and resources in real-time and subsequently analyzing that information.

Impact of CORS on Regional Government

During the visit to the CORS facilities, the Minister explained, “we are talking about enabling digitalization in educational centers, day centers, centers for people with disabilities, employment offices, residences, youth hostels, technology centers, museums, libraries, nurseries, and machinery parks, among others, operating seven days a week, 24 hours a day.”

For his part, Luis Rodríguez-Ovejero, president of SATEC, stated:

“The CORS service, which we provide with great quality for the Junta de Castilla y León, is an example of the advanced ICT services SATEC carries out from its service excellence center in Valladolid for regional, national, and international clients. All of this is thanks to the great talent we have always found in Castilla y León.”

The CORS is also equipped with its own software tools and the necessary hardware devices for its development, along with qualified personnel to perform specialized tasks (engineering, consulting, specialists, technicians, etc.) that allow them to ensure its proper functioning and immediately address any incidents that may arise, as its performance is crucial for the operation, with the highest quality standards, of all the information systems on which the administrative activity of the Junta is based.

This center manages over 112,000 assets, including equipment, connections, and other items supporting corporate communication services. It receives, generates, manages, and escalates incidents (about 11,000 annually), service requests (around 21,000 annually), or any other situation related to the corporate services catalog of the Administration.

CORS Recognitions and Achievements

The CORS, recognized with the Aslan Award 2022 in the Regional Government category, is a national reference for a successful model in the efficient, scalable, and high-quality management of telecommunications networks and services for a large organization, capable of absorbing the enormous growth in both assets and requests and incidents, as well as adapting to the changing needs of the administration.

Grupo SATEC has been present in Castilla y León for 15 years through its office in Valladolid, which currently employs around 150 people.
